tv power light comes on goes off no sound or picture?

i have an orion widescreen tv, made a crackling noise very loudly, and now when i turn it on the power light comes on and immediately goes off, so there is no sound or picture, thought it was the transformer i put a new one in but it is exactly the same, ( if you can talk me through the repair i will send you drink money, ) P.S i also have another smaller tv problem posted on here.
