Mend Hotpoint Aquarius Pump Empty Water Wash

do i need anew pump?

my hotpiont aquarius washerdryer fails to empty itself of water after a wash cycle and then willnot spin with the water in if i put the hose outside lower than machine it will empty then if i turn to spin it will work as normal to the end of spin cycle do i need a new pump

yes u need a new pump only about 20 quid easy to replace .very commom fault they overheat on washer dryers

A new pump could work, however thats what I've just tried, with a Hoover AL120 and that didn't work, alternatively it could be the programme, not telling it to empty.
If you do find a solution let me know.
