Mend Rover 216 GSI Engine Starting

How do I clean spark plugs that have been flooded in a 216 GSI Rover?

I think I have flooded the spark plugs in my Rover 216GSI, having applied the accelerator too many times when trying (and failing) to start the engine.
Can you please confirm where I find the plugs and what I need to do to fix the problem.

before cleaning plugs would sugest you try starting with foot flat to the floor (full throttle) rather than pumping on and off
