Hi Bernie, can you tell me the model number either from the book or the side of the inner door.It sounds like there is no error code being given to you.Is it washing okay? It could be that the drain pump is not working so carrying on a cycle but this usually gives an error code if your model has this set up. It could also be that the noise you hear is the drain pump all the time. take off the wooden plinth and the the silver or plastic inspection plate at the front. Is there water in the base?If there is, turn off the power and drain the water out by hand. This resets the valve. You say that there is water inside the cavity so it sounds like not draining.Check the pump as before but also check the other end of the drain hose.If it goes to a spigot under the sink, this may be blocked. Is the water hot in the cycle. If not it may be the heater has gone and will not advance. On a semi integrated machine, the stat reset may have tripped. If you take off the right hand side of the casing and look towards the centre, you will see a flat thermostat with a red button.Press this, if it clicks, you have reset it.You will need to change the heater element as this causes the fault and also manually turn the timer to 12 o clock at the front. The machine will now work.If you have any problems please repost the symptoms but a model number will help get to the bottom of it. All the best.
