how to fix brother 190D?

machine stops and tells me upper or lower thread is cut, it's not.

Ken you were right! I dusted inside the bobbin it looked perfectly clean but I still brushed and puffed with the air spray for keyboards and I have a working machine Thank You for taking the time to answer my question. Mary

Hello Mary,
Unfortunately you are at the mercy of machines that are computerized, find the sensors and give them a wipe over that may cure it, failing that you will need a specialist.
