Mend Ford Fiesta 2003

removing rear light assembley on ford fiesta - 2003?

I am unable to move the rear light assembly cover when I have removed the screws. Does the cover move in towards the interior of the door or does the cover fold to the outside of the door?
This is the first time I have had to replace this particular bulb and am a little wary of 'forcing' the cover.

there is a plastic type wing nut that fixes light from inside it is near to where wiring plugs into light cluster.think its black in colour.
