I have a Fiat Punto 1.2 99 model and the airbag warning light has come on?

I have a Fiat Punto 1.2 99 model and the airbag warning light has come on. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?? Or waht causes the problem?

Fiat Fiat Punto 1.2 99 Vehicles, Cars Fiat Punto Model

On my punto it was a block connector under the passenger seat. When you move the seat back and forth the light would come on. I put a cable tie round the connector. No more light coming on.

ive had the same problem for ages on my 2001' Bravo 1.2 SX 80. any idea's?
