How do I fix the tension on my Brother sewing machine model xl-3010? ?

How do I fix the tension on my Brother sewing machine model xl-3010? The bottom thread loops and bunches up while the yop thread breaks?

Hello Sherly,
Top tension should be between 4 and 6 and you should just be able to pull the thread through on the bobbin case with some slight resistence, if it is too tight turn the screw on the bobbin case about a quarter of a turn at a time anti clockwise until it feels right.
