Husqvarna Chainsaw won't start?

I have a Husqvarna 350 (about 18 months old) and it has been getting hard to start when it gets hot. I used it a couple of weeks ago and now it will not start at all. It is sparking, and getting fuel to the cylinder but does not fire up. There is no difference in feel with the decompression button open or closed. Any ideas on why it will not run?

Welcome to the Husqvarna won't start club. Most likely, your ignition is weak. Good news is Husqvarna ignitions are life time warrantied. Bad news is Husqvarna won't let you replace the new "free" ignition even though there are only 2 screws to turn. But they will do it for you for $80.00 Good news is now your saw will start better. Bad news is only for a short time then you will need another "free" ignition module. My 350 takes 10 pulls hot or cold. Grrrrrr! My 372 is much better 6 pulls cold, then one pull hot every time. Why don't they make the 350 like the 372?

take off the muffler and see if the piston is scored if it is that's your problem no compression

Take off the muffler and check for scoring and any other cylinder damage. With the decompression system in this unit it's the only way to check it. If it is scored it won't start. If the cylinder is OK it is a fuel problem ( carb ). Flush tank and clean carb.
GOOD LUCK
