How can I fix my EP2000 clock control?

My Potterton EP2000 electronic clock controller fails after a power cut and needs re-setting. Is there a battery support that needs replacing?

some ep models have a battery which can be replaced the replacement battery is made by varta and are about a fiver. if it has a rechargable cell then you will have to replace the whole unit which are around 55 quid and a easy exchange..
