how can i fix my hygena dishwasher that is 5 year old?

thank you for your advice i have looked inside the dishwasher door and the model no is AHY 8122.

Hi Derrick, it sounds like the heater element has gone.This usually stops the timer from advancing,thats why you have to advance manually.If you look along the side of the inner door,you should see the model number.If you resend that on the site, I can tell you what the part number is and costs.It should say something like ADP 8224 or AHY 8234 etc.
