Anybody know where I can purchase a new spool for this trimmer as I have had no success at Argos (where I purchased the item), and they failed to identify a spares supplier.
I agree, but you can always buy the cord and wind it on. Your local garden centre stocks them.

..either that or people shouldn't entertain rubbish and it wouldn't encourage people like Argos to make a quick buck and add to the landfill in six months time when it breaks down.
Spend a bit more, buy a decent brand and that way it will be serviceable over a longer period of time.

Argos import it, Argos sell it and Argos can't find a spares supplier= zilch chance of getting one I'm afraid.
