Mend Makita 5201NA Bought Works Great

is the arcing on my Makita 5201NA circular saw electric brake normal? ?

hi, I just bought a used a Makita 5201Na circular saw with electric brake. it works great except, I am not sure it should be arcing the way it is when I release the trigger? thanks

Yes, that is normal for any tool with an electric brake. The electric brake stops the armature really fast causing the arcing.
