How do i wire my ceiling rose?

I have recently bought a old house, the old bakerlite ceiling rose suddenly 'exploded' and fell to the floor. Therefore i need to wire up a new ceiling rose. But i am unable to now identify how to wire the rose. I have 5 red (live) & 3 black (neutral) wires (1 red/1 black enter together, another red & black enter together, 3 reds are single cables, 1 black is a single cable) these all enter the ceiling light which is at the top of the stairs. There is a switch at the top and the bottom of the stairs. How do i wire the ceiling rose?
