17.5 hp briggs engine carb problems?

my 17.5 hp briggs engine had sediment in carb. I cleaned it out and it still won't start unless you pour gas in carb.

my best bet when i had carb problems was to blow the carb out with an air compressor. you will blow out the stems or blow the fuel lines as much as possible and also buy some carb cleaner available at auto zone for like 2.99 or somewhere around there and clean it out with that then you should be good to go! what does the motor do??
