homelite gas trimmer starts but quickly stalls within 5 seconds? What is the problem?

i had the same problem. had to take the carb apart and clean real good. the top part of the carb where the bulb goes was clogged. you can tell when you try priming it. now the carb is so clean, i cant keep it running except when on choke. cant figure out how to adjust the 2 screws. they have some kind of plastic covers.
