Check to see if motor will run in either spin or wash mode.
Then check drive belt between motor with the plug UNPLUGGED (we do not need an accidental start up with hands in the way).
Get a helper to turn tub from above and observe to see if the belt will turn the transmission, if trans is good it should turn motor.
Lastly check to see if the linkage moves when the machine changes cycles between wash and spin.
I am also assuming that it pumps all the H2O out.
