boiler problem?

where would i find the boiler number thorn mei thats what it says on the brown cover on bottom,its not a combi boiler.I was lighting the boiler this morning and it would firer up then i timed it for 5 minutes and it would go back to a little light then click off.i was doing that for an hour then it wouldnt light at all until it had cooled back down at a guess i would say it was about 15 years old

what is the problem, does your boiler lockout?
or are you saying on low modulation the boiler will not remain fired?
