need to pin point fuel problem on a 96 chevy 5.7 vortec4x4 v8?

The fuel pump could be working but on these engines fuel pressure is critical .....could have fuel pressure but not enough
Make sure you have fire to plugs before jumping on fuel pump.
Might try spraying carb cleaner in throttle body and see if it cranks ...if so your getting fire and fuel sytem is @ fault .
Check fuel filter also ..........if its clogged you might get lucky and just have to replace it but most of the time if it is clogged it took out the fuel pump ..had you just got gas when this happened
