Honda 6.5HP Engine (MTD 21"SP Mower) Starts then Dies?

Your carb probably needs to be cleaned or replaced, I'd clean the gas tank too while your at it. Sounds like somethig is plugged in the main jet circuit and it's momentarily running off of the prime or "starting" circuit, which it's supposed to do until the engine runs enough to pull gas through the main circuit, however yours can't because it's plugged. These passages are pretty small so pay attention to detail if you decide to go in ! Good Luck Oh yeah check your bulk fuel supply for contamination too.
