Starting problem with Zafira 2.o DTi on 03 plate?

When left overnight it won't start despite cranking enough to make the battery weak. Sometimes it will fire up after lots of cranking.
It will start with Easy Start spray in the air intake and has occasionally started twice on it's own with first turn of the key.

Any ideas as to what to check or look for?? Thanks in advance!
