my pull start just spins on my mchulloch strimmer?

when i try to pull start my grass strimer it jus spins i took the top of and there is not enough power when i pull the wire to move the plastic peg that spins the fly wheel ?/ i think the metal coil spring needs replacing can any one 2nd opinion me on this ???

I'm in the same boat, and I agree with you that it's the coil spring that is busted, now the big question is where do you find one. Also my trimmer is just under 3 years old so maybe they all go at this stage
