A) If you can afford it, go for a new one, and either fit it yourself or ask a friend who's a bity handy.
B) If you want to take a chance on reliability, and depending on the price of a new switch, try your local council tip, or even an auction room for a similar type mower; you'd be surprised at how cheaply they can go for.
C) I don't know, but I would imagine that start switches for electric mowers are all basically the same; 2 wires in and 2 wires out, with different looking switches in the middle.
