battery on escort van too tall and made contact with bonnet now nothing hap?

battert on escort van too tall and it made contact with the bonnet now it wont do anything when i turn the key what could it have done thanx dave

If you'r lucky then all u've done is short circuited the battery to totaly drained.Try a trickle charge to bring it back.If not then new battery time.One that fits!!
