Removal of Service (spanner) indicator on Renault Laguna?

I recently had a full 72,000 mile service at a non-Renault dealership, but the service indicator on the dashboard is still flashing. Is there a way of removing this symbol? The vehicle is a Laguna Dynamique estate 1.9 dci.

Hi, this method should work on post 2001 cars.
Switch ignition ON (not start)
Keep pressing the button on the R/H column stalk untill the "spanner" flashes and distance remaining to next service appears in speedo display
Press and hold the button to right of the centre display untill the display has flashed 8 times
Release the button the new service interval is now displayed
Switch ignition OFF
