metal futon's leg broken?

Purchase several copies (measure the gap to ascertain the number of books required) of War & Peace by Leo Tolstoy in hardback format & use a good adhesive from your local hardware store to bond them together 1 ontop of the next, use this block to support the centre of your couch. Bosh- job done.
