How do I change the wing mirrors on a ford Galaxy?

I have just purchased two wing mirrors for a ford galaxy I can get the bolts out but cannot get at electrics plug as it is to far down in the door the only way I can see how to do it is to take the door panel of but cannot see any screw fixings to undo, can anyone tell me how to get the panel of without breaking it.

Ford Galaxy Vehicles, Cars Wing Mirrors Door

The covers on the wing mirrors can be detached by levering the mirror glass over to an angle so that you can see inside the mirror housing to the double clips. There are 4 main ones that can be squeezed with a pair of long nose pliers releasing the cover from the housing. They aren't designed to come off once fitted but with (admittedly a lot of) perseverance they will release, you may snap one or two of the double clip sides but there should still be enough remaining to clip it back on securely

I have the same problem. Searching French forums you apparently have to lift the casing forcing the clips to detach. I haven't tried it yet, but the people who have say that the clips tend to break. Nothing more precise than that I am afraid.
