my dishwasher keeping cutting my electricity supply off when i plug it in?

when i plug my proline dishwasher in my electricity supply cuts out, what will be the problem causing this?

HAD SAME PROBLEM WITH MY DISHWASHER, DISCONNECTED THE 2 WIRES TO THE HEATER ELEMENT AND THE WASHER DID NOT DROP POWER, BUT NOW IT WON'T GO THROUGH THE CYCLE- THINK IT MAY BE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE THERMOSTAT??

This means that there is a direct short circuit inside the machine, unfortunately....usually its the heating element which fails in this way.
