sorry but the backing plate is all part of the mirror body and comes attached from the factory. the mirror body (base plate) comes with the backing plate and the motor fitted and costs approx £150 thats with the shiny high gloss backing plate, its cheaper for the non gloss plate. to change mine, i drilled out the plastic rivets that hold the backing plate in place, then cut out a small section of the plate to let it slide of the mirror body, and then glued the plate on to my replacement mirror body. worked a treat, be sure to use good strong glue, not that the plate is heavy but to ensure it doesnt come of and you have to do it all over again.
