Mend Whirlpool VBXR1060V1WW Help Wont Spin

HELP please...VBXR1060V1WW won't agitate or spin?

I do not have the manual for this, so I do not even know where to begin. During agitating it only turns very slightly. During spin, you can hear the motor but the basket is not spinning. Please help me fix this. I am not opposed to doing it myself, as I cannot afford a new one or a repairman. I just need guidance on where to start. Yes I do know to hold the button down (uner the lid)when I am checking this.

This is an edit to the above question.....
I just checked it through a cycle with no clothes in it. It does spin just fine and the agitator does go back and forth slightly. I am not overloading the machine as it just has one fitted sheet one flat sheet and 4 pillow cases. Could the belt possible just need to be replaced? The belt looks okay, I guess. Not much wear or anything like that. Or cold it be another problem?
