When i am driving my rover, i notice the temperature goes up into the red and then cools down but goes back up into the red again. The fan kicks in. I have tried to top it up with water but the water goes and there are no leaks that i know of. Can someone give me a clue on what it may be please.
Quite possibly a cylinder head leakage problem....a garage can sniff the gas inside the coolant bottle to see if there are combustion gases present which will confirm this.
