Basically, my oil leaks from the chainsaw, but the bar will not oil, making the sprocket extremely hot and damagaing the bar and chain. Someone told me it could be the oil pump, but i dont have the knowledge or the pump to fit!
How do i replace oil pipe on stihl chainsaw, no oil reaching engine, any help appreciated

Have you checked that casing isnt damaged, especially around sprocket area, i had this problem and plugged the hole, seems to be ok at mo.

Major, major job to replace oil pump on this model. Not for the faint hearted.

take the air filter off and unscrew the spark plug, then u clean that out and put some oil in it, then put it back together and it will work, i had the same problem my chainsaw runs really good now.

if the oil is leaking from the bottom / check the oil feed pipe has not come off.

I have the same problem, it's either. oil pump has packed in new pump about £23 then you put it in. or oil pipe /or pump blocked with wood dust.
