Mend Pentax Optio 50 Power Worked Years

Pentax optio 50--losing power?

I have a Pentax Optio 50 which has worked well for several years.
Recently, though, it has started losing its power very quickly--both coventional and rechargable batteries.
Can anyone suggest why this might be and how -if at all--it could be fixed?
