i am changing my cam belt on a ford courier deisol i am struggling to undo bottom pulley nut i have put vehicle in gear and brakes on engine still turns is there a means of locking it up
Hi Peter, there is a locking tool that you can screw into the block that locks the crankshaft with the no1 on TDC that is required for cambelt timing

i usually remove the starter and insert a wide chisel into the teeth of the flywheel ring gear jaming it against the bell housing.done carefully theres no damage.
