Mend MG F Power Steering Car

mgf power steering?

hi does anyone have any tips on repairing this? i have been told, in equal numbers, that all the bits need to be from the same car and also that that is rubbish?
i have got a new, correct, steering column, it's just that the mechanic has tried before and failed.
