Probably the radiator core has given up the ghost - its not caused by overheating as any excess water would be expelled from the radiator expansion bottle. Its best to have a really close look at the rad - look for crusty coloured deposits and I'm sure you'll find the leak. Just keep the coolant level topped up in the mean time!
