i mower wont run unless on full choke. With choke off it hunts and stalls within a few seconds.
If I ajust the carb to the manufacturers setting 7/8 turn from fully in it backfires badly.
there is a spring to a feedback arm I guess this is the advance/ retard mechanism. i havent touched anything other than the carb.
Can anyone advise, please.
I suggest you either have water in the float chamber, or a blocked jet. Strip & clean the carb - make sure the jets are properly clear - particularly if there is evedence that water was present.
