You may think I'm crazy suggesting this tool as you want to close the rail gap not open it, but think on this before you comment.
You don't bother with this tool and tap the rail back or squeeze it with pliers then look and think 'That's fine' you go away on hols and find you can't get the awning bead through the rail because you've tapped one part in too far and you haven't got a tool to pull it back out again so no awing for the rest of the holiday. there got that off me chest explaining.
