Problem with Kenwwod A97 amp?

i have a Kenwood A97 amplifier and every time i turn it on it displays "system protect". The speaker cables are not touching, which would sometimes cause this to happen

They suffer from a driver chip failure which can be overcome by replacement and fitting a suitable heatsink.
