You can't. Virtual memory resides on your hard disk. Assuming Windows, Windows will use a much or as little hard disk space as it needs depending on what you are doing.
You can improve hard disk performance by ensuring that your hard disk is defragmented regularly.
If you mean real memory (RAM) then it depends on the computer ands you don't say what your one is.
