How can i fix my suzuki ts 100?

We took the block off the bike and realised that the piston was nakered.Since then we hav put in a new piston and have put the bike back together.It will tart but it wont stay tickin over and will backfire.It will also rev loads and then die but then rev again without anybody controling it.Any ideas?
