REPLACEMENT BATTERY FOR 18 VOLT PARKSIDE DRILL?

I have had a Parkside PABS 10.8v drill/screwdriver bought from Lidl (LIDL part no IAN56846) for some years now and it has been excellent although the battery capacity has dwindled over the years (as all Li-Ion) until it is now in need of replacing. After a chase around various possible suppliers I phoned DES UK Bilston (although they have changed their name recently but I didn't catch the new name) on 0845 683 2676 and I ordered a new battery there and then for £19.99 inc p & p. Hopefully it will arrive in a few days and will allow my drill to continue to give me good service for a few more years.

Been trying for ages to get a replacement charger unit for Parkside PABS 18-Li B2 cordless drill The drill is only 4 years old This the third Parkside cordless that has failed and had to be returned to LIDL for a refund.
DO NOT BUY PARKSIDE products their proucts do not last for the statutory 6 years their spares set up is a joke - never reply to letters or emails. Keep your products the other side of the channel - I'll go with Black and Decker in future.

i wouldnt bother batteries are useless they dont hold the charge charge them one day 2 days later they are flat and thats without being used both my batteries are the same if you really want one contact lidl help line

What a useless bunch of web sites! A few months back I found a supplier for spares for my Parkside drill, burnt out mosfet in switch, now the site has simply vanished. All I get is a jummbled Einhill site from wich I could not even buy a complete drill if wanted to!

Hi there all, just rang DES as shown on the forum and they are quoting 28 days now for delivery, and a price of £18.50 incl delivery, but they DO still supply spare batteries. They are now saying only units after 2006, so the goalposts have moved a bit, but they still supply. My 2010 Parkside drill is well within the frame, so I'm sorted. Hope the rest of you chaps can work something out.

Contact www.kompernass in first instance and they should give you contact with bilston (e- mail etc). At least that's whay I did. Hope this helps.

The battery manufacturer only makes replacements for drills from 2004 on.

I wouldn't pay too much notice of DES's answer - they told me no replacement batteries were available for my Parkside PAHKS 18V circular saw but I have found that the Sealy CB18VBP is exactly the same battery and is widely available.

If the drill is no older than 2004 then the batteries are available. Mine is 2003 so I am out if luck! Found the english stockist, they are in Bilston which is in the Midlandss. Phone no 0870 787 6177/68. DES Ltd is the company name. Found the name on the German website.

Dear John, I've given up trying to get an answer from the company, and am taking the drill back to Liddl's tomorrow for a refund. I've been trying for over a week to get stockists for a replacement battery and so far no-one has got back to me. I hope you have more luck than me but the website in Germany isn't responding either.

hi john, the only thing i have done for my father in the same situation is gone on to the website on the side of the drill and e mailed the company in this country for advice.
