Mend Siemens Tumble Broken Door

Siemens tumble dryer, broken door catch?

I can't see how I can replace the catch ( a spike that juts out of the dryer door) without replacing the whole door. It has been a great machine but the broken part is just a piece of plastic. Without it the door will not close and the tumble dryer cannot work. Any ideas/suggestions other than call the repair man in?
