Ca I repair the transformer on track lights from ikea circa 2004?

Halogen bulb wet out and I replaced it with a higher wattage. Few weeks later the whole strand went out. Ikea told me I probably needed to just change the fuse which I could purchase at "home depot". I openned compartment and see one blackened rubber spot leading to the "Zing Ear". I ulled away the rubber casing and the metal attachment looks slightly corroded. Is that the fuse? How can I repair this?? There are no screws on the zing ear, I am unsure how to remove and don't even know for sure if it is the fuse.
Class 2 transformer.

I agree with other respondant. Buy a new one tight wad and try not kill yourselfand your family!!!!!!

As you appear to have blown the transformer by making a basic mistake I suspect your electrical knowledge is not up to repairing it. Additionally, they are generally sealed and not repairable. So my advice is leave it alone and buy a new one.

What you are mucking about with is capable of burning your house down. Should that happen and you insurance company find out what caused it you will be on your own!
