Veritas Alarm with 'Tamper' light on, how do I fix it?!?!?
I'm having my kitchen refitted and I think the electrician has done something dodgy to the veritas alarm control box. It started to make a very strange buzzing/beeping noise so I entered the code and it went quiet. It now has the power light and tamper light on all the time and won't work. When I try to set the alarm on it beeps 5 times, pause 5 times etc... not the usual beeping it makes when it's set timing you out of the house!!! Help!! I don't know what make or model it is I inherited it with the house a few years ago.
You have a tamper fault, probably in the kitchen or back door. Get the electrician to come round and fix it at his expense, or at least organise a compitent electrician to fix it.
You won't be able to set the alarm until this fault is cleared, cos' if you could Mr Thief could come round and then just rip all the wires out and the alarm wouldn't sound
