Mend Mercedes-Benz CLK 230 Fault Left Week

How can I fix the alarm on a Mercedes CLK 230?

I believe the alarm on my Mercedes CLK 230 may have a fault which drained the battery, after it was left for a week. The battery is in good condition and when recharged on locking the hazard lights continue to flash and the car goes into alarm mode instead of flashing twice and locking the car. Can anybody help with this problem?

I have the same problem with my CLK 320 (1998 model) - took it to the garage and after computer analysis is has been diagnosed as a siren problem. The flashing is an indication of an issue which can only be checked by computer analysis.

In the meantime, I have been switching off the alarm and locking the car manually.

problem is water in alarm siren the alarm is actually trigered indicators are flashing but no sound from siren because of water ingress in alarm siren requires new siren or put car on star machine and deactivate alarm and save yourself a couple of hundred quid
