92 Ford 8340 SLE will not move (drive) sometimes until you restart engine & lift arms wont move,it dosent matter if its hot or cold also i cannot see an error code because the dash wont show the gears or lift arms. when the dash works the problem of not driving is not there

I have a 92 8340 sle also and I had a similar problem and I traced it back to a bad connection on the module located on the RHS inside cab under lift control panel. I sprayed WD40 on multi pin connector and problem has not been there since

Try electrical contact spray cleaner on transmission switches(not one with Trichloro-ethylene).
