Washing Machine will not use hot water?

I just moved to a unit with a Fisher & Paykel Gentle Annie ECS washer, 8 or 9 years old. It clearly was built to use warm or hot water as well as cold but no matter what I do it produces cold water. The hot water tap is full on but doesn't get to the washer. If I set it to hot it only drips into the tub.

check filters some machines have a filter in the inlet

hot water can sometimes block small filters like they block your shower head.

If not then check electrical valve is opening closing??

always start at the tap and work through the hose/machine to avoid missing something like the tap actually doesnt work etc

Maybe the washing machine is squashing the hot water inlet hose. I parked my machine onto the cold hose when I installed it (durr!). I thought the machine was on the blink when it always washed on hot and never completed its cycle. Whan I wanted to get rid of the machine I found the "miracle cure" of moving it - off the hose.

turn off the hot tap remove from rear of machine ,put pipe in a bucket turn on tap inspect flow ,if insufficient check where the pipe has been joined into the system ( self cutting taps cause problems) if supply ok check filter screen located inside the rear of the hot tap connection remove and clean refit pipe try machine with cold supply TURNED OFF, no water input now means HOT WATER solenoid faulty needs to be replaced ,
