My computer lost power recently and now the boot up takes several minutes?

How do I make my pc boot up normal or even faster again. XP Windows

you might have tons of things loading on startup
whichll slow it right down>
this solution is for win 98 but might apply to xp
To have a look click start /run in the bottom left hand corner
then type in msconfig in the box click ok
(this is generally handy to know anyway)
Go to startup tab at the end itll give you a list of everything that loads at startup with tickboxes.
Untick the ones you dont want
if youre not sure leave it.
Dont go too mad just try one or two at a time then reboot it
