Hello, My child has damaged the outer casing on my 1GB sd card, it had over 330 photos on. Would it be possible somewho to mend it or somehow get the photos downloaded to a disc as the inners chip is ok
Regards Richard
Is the printed circuit board damaged but the memory chip ok, there is only one way to get the data back, unsolder memory chips and directly access their raw data with a programable chip reader. But this is very special work, you need specialists. Search for "Recoverfab" they have the right service and explain what they do.

If the chip inside and the rest of the circuit is undamaged and working properly you can save your data from the SD card. To do that you need a card reader to open it and manually and carefully connect the contacts from the card in the right order and get your data out on disk. Before doing this, of course the card reader must not be connected to a pc. If you are not familiar with this let this to someone who has a little experience with electronics.
